you're car is only as suspicious as you.. I live in the ghetto and never get a second look from police. My car doesn't look ghanky either.
i was followed by a cop the other day (first time in a longggggggg time) and no doubt had my plate ran. being directly behind me, i know they gave a second look to the tinted tails AND tinted windows. cops have better things to do in madison, plus all my brake lights work.
i had mine done for 110+tax. At Zeno's Tight Whips and More...here's there phone number for proof. (615)-256-3935. Looks damn good too

wow 200. 110 same. all 20%
called it :smash:
I'd rather pay someone $200 for quality work and decent tint. Cheaping out that much is bound for regrets. Google a tint forum. Lots of good info there so I don't have to explain.
whoever tinted my car used **** stuff, so its peeling. also looks like they didn't clean the windows very well before tint :madrun: theres a place around the corner from me that charges ~$250 but do a hell of a job. plus the owner is hot :naughty:
$200 for a reputable source, quality tint, and a 6yr warranty
do it...do it.

I'm sure its been said but.

Don't cheap out the extra $80 for 3m or suntek and a reputable installer is worth it hands down. oh not to mention a warranty.

I'd say go with the tint that Ryan has on his car, but his tint may look darker because the car is darker as well.

If you can't tint all 5 windows, then what's the point. Just doing the rear half of the car looks cheap.

the law here (for cars) is 50% front/35% rear and i've never been hassled.

on the other hand, i was in a car with 20% front/10% rear who WAS, but didn't get a ticket.

20% all around would be my suggestion, even on a silver car, but only if it can be done all around.

Even with the lightest tint, not having it all around with the exception of the windshield = not a good look.

my car is silver and I went with 20% all around. It looks great and I'm glad I didn't go darker, because my interior is grey leather which makes it appear to be darker too.

You guys need to check out the new 3M nano-tech tint,no metal or dye to worry about. It's available for FRONT winshield use;I'll be doing this as soon as I can save the $70, should help w/the Tucson AZ heat. 3M claims 33% heat reduction for the front w.shield. Surprised nobody mentioned it.

Yes I did on page 2.

Just FYI 50-70% tint isn't worthless. It still rejects UV rays and helps keep heat out. The higher percentage is more common on front winshields allowing maximum visibility.

anyone here have their front window done...? doesn't it make it hard to see?

Obviously YES! I think 70% would be fine. If you did end up tinting the font I would highly suggest a premium tint allowing maximum visibility, heat shield, UV block, and less reflection. Some tints have a color hue other than black or gray. I've seen greens and browns. While the color doesn't bother visibility, it might be difficult to adjust to. My tint has a brown to it, not happy about it, and I'm used to it now. But at first I was like  WTF?
