I will add an Official DIY to the Engine Mod section when I have it 100% installed.
We all know that NO ONE makes a legit double row performance radiator.
People have modded the 94-97 Koyo radiator into their cars but why would they share the information?
Thats where your favorite Guinea Pig MikeyMike comes in.
After researching over and over, speaking with ComptechV6(Tom) and flat out demanding more out of my cooling system. I came across Mishimoto.
Mishimoto make a performance radiator for the 5thGen Accord. After exchanging emails with Hannah from Mishimoto.com, I finally got my hands on what I've been looking for.
Hannah was courteous enough to offer assistance, which came at much surprise to me considering they do not make any products for a 6thGen Accord. I explained how people modify the 5thGen Accord radiators to work with our 6thGens.
What I ordered was the 94-97 Accord Radiator and the 94-97 Accord Fanshroud w/fans. Uppon receiving the order I noticed right away that the bottom radiator hose was on the complete opposite side. Easily solved by using a new 4ft hose. The Fan Shroud bolts right onto the radiator and from there you would just have to splice into your stock wiring for cooling fans.
NOTE: I didnt really look at the back to see if it had ports for the transmission cooler. I dont have the car with me at the moment but if it doesnt (I think it doesnt), you are going to need some sort of aftermarket transmission cooler. I have the 6spd swap so I dont need one.
Now the fun part. Much to my surprise it slid right into the OEM bottom brackets. However it is about 1.5" lower then the stock radiator. IMO this is better because those V6's with the SuperCharger or planning on S/C, this gives you A LOT more clearance. You just have to fabricate TWO custom brackets for the top. Another easy fix IMO.
On a sad note, I tore the medial meniscus in my left knee so i wont be driving it around to much until i get surgery...
