hrmm.... are you allowed to take pictures in there?
one of my friends used to work at northrop grumman and they forbid all use of cameras, cell phone cameras, laptop cameras, anything that could take a picture lol.

Ill see what I can about the engine mounting lol. Tomorrow were having some major heads of FedEx as well as our company to watch us flip an engine for storage purposes. Its not a process that's handles by many repair stations so its a big deal. Ill see if I can snap some shots tomorrow.

Allowed? Probably not but I didn't bother to ask permission. Plus my boss is pretty cool and could care less what I do as long as my work gets done. Which it does.

This engine is being stored vertically as shown in the pic. This is a very unusual process considering the engine will have to go through a full rebuild before being used again. This position puts the bearings under unusual stress. Its a ge cf6 rated at 40,000+ pounds of thrust.
