Motor Mount Leaking

I hit a super hard bump the other day it seemed to split my motor mount or smoething and now brown liquid is leaking from it.

A. How dangerous is it to drive with this problem
B. How much is it to fix or is it simple enough to DIY

That's motor oil. It can be pretty dangerous. If you are driving with it, keep oil handy and check the level constantly to avoid catastrophe. How bad is the leaking?

You sure your oil pan doesn't have a crack in it...?

I dont think its engine oil because theres no signs of oil leaks on the ground, Ive checked my oil levels constantly and its still the same. All the liquid is located in the engine bay right by the power steering belt, and I have a v6, if that helps, because i know the way the mechanics are set up in different areas of the bay than the 4 cyclinder

If its brown its gotta be motor oil from somehwhere. Possible its just the normal spread of oil, if you will, and not actually a problem?
I'm i4 so I'm not familiar with where the v6 gathers its oil and grime through typical use.

Some of the motor mounts are filled with a brown oil and when they crack initially that "oil" will leak out and that is most likely what you are seeing.

Don't know the difficulty of replacing it on the V6 but which motor mount is it?

It's safe for a little while depending on which one it is, it'll just dry out and eventually fail completely. I would suggest replacing it as soon as you can though.

Yeah after some further investigation i discovered the motor mount rubber bushing was punctured which caused the brown oil. This particular motor mount was the one located right next to the power steering belt. Which would be located on the left side of the engine, if you were to be standing infront of the car and looking down at the engine. I was thinking about putting some black silocone in the mean time to reduce any further leaking until i am to replace it. Do you think this will work? and is it true oem motor mounts go for about 60 dollars.

Depends on which mount you need, but I'm sure you could get somewhere around that price.

Stee-bo - Yeah that could work as a temporary fix for sure, but very short term.

I'm guessing you could find a decent one at a junkyard for a steal. It shouldn't be that hard to install either. I'm guessing you'll have to loosen some other mounts, jack up that side of the motor, remove, replace, set down the motor and tighten up at worst case scenario.
