Hey all, just got a 99 Accord, v6 about 2 weeks ago. I had a 97 dodge neon for 4 years before this, had more money in it then I probably should have. But the transmission blew up, I was lucky and had a friend at a Go Honda here and he got me a great deal on this car after the first one(98 Saturn SL1) they found for me was about to explode. Transmission on that one was about to go out. So you guys can see I'm already paranoid about transmissions and just got the v6 with an autotragic.

A bit about me is I will be attending a community college once I move to Florida in 4 months to be a mechanic, going for auto body also. Once I start school I will be getting some kind of project car, looking into a 1st gen eclipse, 240sx or an evo(if I can find one that isn't abused too much). Whatever it is it will be built for the drag strip unless I can get into drifting somehow.

Things done so far.
-Tranny fluid drain and refill the 2nd day I had it.
-Timing belt, water pump, few seals which I forgot what they were. Honda tech did it for me.
-Magnaflow's welded on, just some universal mufflers with tips.
-JVC KDR600 and sony xplod speakers from old neon installed.

To do list.
-Oil change with Mobil 1 5w30 and K&N oil filter.
-Swap out some new bulbs in the guage cluster, rpms and temp gauge is lit up but nothing else.

I won't be doing any mods besides the mufflers and possible a K&N cone filter and some extra intercooler piping and couplers I had from the neon to make a SRI. Mods will have to wait due to the move soon, though plans are to get a wings west lip kit, coilovers, headers, brake upgrade of some kind and bigger sway bars.

After that its just gonna be a fun daily driver unless the tranny explodes, though signs are good that it won't. The car has been checked over by 2 honda techs, and dealer showed all maintenance was done on time. One owner and 182,000 miles before they traded it for a 2010 accord.

Old neon, I know its just a neon but I will miss it.

And the Accord the day after I got it. Pics will mufflers and sound clips will come soon.

Technically the neon was a Plymouth, expresso is Plymouths version of the dodge neon "highline".

So far this car has been great. Its nice to have some power when I step on the gas for a change, even if it is just an auto.

Also, I've been apart of neons.org for years, I know how to use search and won't be asking if giant spoilers fit or if the ebay coilover sleeves are a good investment.
