So I am looking to get a new head gasket for my block, soon to be dropped in. The one I have on now (only a month old) is a "Evergreen Engine parts" made in CA Ebay brand. It looked legit, (multi layered steel), but i just want to have confidence in a name brand gasket I know I won't have problems with. Here are a couple sites i have been looking at. Any suggestions? The honda site have two options. So I don't know what to go with. The rock auto site under fel-pro said "head bolt replacement recommened". Is that necessary?

I heard Evergreen sucks from many different people, me personally I've never had a problem with them because I've never actually used one so I can't really tell you from experience..

I do know that I can get the Evergreen head gaskets for under 20$ compared to Felpro for around 50$ with my dads business account though and the price *usually* resembles quality.

Just stick to a better brand like Felpro, and no you don't have to replace the head bolts. I've reused mine several times and never had a problem with them even under boost.

I also got an email back from Cometic Gasket company stating the following:

I am able to manufacture a gasket for you but not in our MLS (multi layer steel). I can do copper or possibly CFM-20 depending on the bore size you need. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks

Cometic Gasket

Would either of these be a reliable choice? Is the stock bore size 86 or 87mm?

Yeah, copper is used mostly on higher hp set-ups so it should definitely hold and our stock bore is 86mm

Thank you! I value your knowledgable advice. I went ahead and ordered the Fel-Pro Permatourque (MLS) head gasket #9958PT1. $45 Rock Auto
