MB Quarts Q-line. Hands down. (Crisp and Clear)
Rears? Not need I believe if you have a sub.
Sub? Cerwin Vega. (Nice and Clean)
Amp? Need deep pockets to power that Cerwin.
Deck? Eclipse all the way.

I think Alpine is overrated. Unless you got that new deck that came out. With the slide touch.... Well worth over 1g.

lol ok...now were getting into the subjective. what you like for parts, not everyone will.

example: ill never own an eclipse or alpine head unit. its about personal preference.

What do you guys think about this:

Lightning Audio Woofer & Amp Package

I haven't heard of anything about Lightning Audio so I don't really know.

If not that, I'm considering going HiFonics Amplifier, and JL Audio subwoofer, simply because they come pre-boxed. I don't want to deal with making a box.

However, I don't know what the different channels and classes of the amplifiers mean. Can someone explain that to me?

I'd like your guys' input on which amplifier would be best. Also, what size kinetik battery should I get? The kinetik website says I'm supposed to add up the amount of wattage I'm going to use, but I have no idea as to that amount.

OK, stay away from the lightning stuff. The Hifonics amps are ok, not what they used to be though. Jl does and has always made great subs. You can do the 6.5's in front if you cut the plastic speaker bracket that comes from factory to allow for magnet clearence. Usually 6x9's in the back. As for Alpine, they used to be the top stuff, but after estbuy picked them up their quality went down abit. The nice ones are still nice though! Back to the amps, check ou the polk momo amps or the kicker amps, for bang for the buck. Eclipse also makes extremely clean amps if thats what you're going for. Hope this helps a little

Lightning stuff isn't that bad, it's a sister brand to RF. Like everything else, you will get what you pay for. Sub amp box combos are decent right off the bat, but in the long run you will be better off building a system to fit your needs.

If you want to know what the best is, go to your local specialty shop and see what you find. Supporting your local shop will pay off in long run, not only in terms of money.

but there is a limit. too big of a magnet and your window wont roll down.

if it just barely clears, it will scratch the window and/or tint :skurred:

I have purchased:

These Hifonics Speakers

This Kinetik Battery

and the Alpine ida-X100 Headunit.

I am looking at This Amplifier and These Subwoofers, but I want your guys' input.

1. Will that amplifier be enough to power my system?
2. Is that amplifier/subwoofer/speaker combo well-compatible?
3. The mono-block D amplifier is designed to power just a subwoofer, right? So would you have to buy a 4-channel (or whichever one) amplifier to power my speakers? That is, if my battery won't suffice in providing sufficient power to my speakers.
