New struts for lowering springs

Hey guys so this is my first post so far on this forum since I now own a 98 accord ex (V6 model). I bought the car and it just needs front struts so I was wondering what would be a cheap route to go? I have some lowering springs that I purchased but now I need struts for the front. Anyone know about SenSen struts with lowering springs? Now I only plan to swap out the front struts because the back OEM struts are fine and SenSen are supposedly OEM quality. The lowering springs are not any thing agressive. Maybe a 1.5" drop at the most.

Any help would be so helpful as I need to make the purchase ASAP

Your problem was you paired lowering springs with OEM shocks. Your back shocks will be on its way out sooner rather than later. Buy some Tokico Illuminas or Koni Yellows and you won't have any issues.

Or you can sell your current setup and buy a new coilover setup. Good suspension doesn't come cheap.

Yea I would prefer coilovers but sadly they are so expensive. Its just not in the budget right now. But maybe I'll wait and see what I can come up with. But I definitely need new front struts, stock springs are on all 4 right now by the way.

By the time you spend the money on struts that can handle a drop, you'll spend the same as if you were to buy some type 1s. And have no where near the adjustability. If you want to lower your car, do it right the first time and get coils. You'll more than likely end up with them later on, so get them first and save yourself money in the long run. Just my opinion.

If you're keeping the stock springs on the car, then OEM, KYB, or other OE replacement struts are fine. If you're putting drop springs on the car, you want aftermarket struts that can handle a drop.

I'd sell the drop springs you bought and go with coilover sleeves mated with some good struts, or go with full coilovers instead.

If you want to drop the car and cannot afford any of this, then keep saving until you can. Suspension is not something you want to cheap out on.

Well looks like I will return those springs lol. I never took them out of the box yet. Ill get OE struts for now so that way Im not clunking down the road

To verify what has already been stated:

I first bought lowering springs, I blew my stock struts, I bought Tein Coilovers, I wanted more low, then I bought FF2's.

You could do KONI STR.Ts. I ordered a set and they should be coming in the next couple days. Im pairing them with s techs and a rear camber kit to be on the safe side.

I went for stock (oem) struts and lowering springs for a long time. 130k to like180k. Then stock springs with some blue aftermarket front struts by my dad till about 205k. Now like 215k with lowering springs back on rear oem & blue front struts all dyin out finally.

So if they're cheap go elsewhere.
