Yup, I got 225/45/17's and they rub in the rear... Not a happy camper...

I definitely dod NOT want to spend a ton of money on this car as it is not my daily... just a spare I picked up for a steal, but...

I may either put my stock wheels back on or have the fenders rolled... I think I pill at least price it out and see if it is really worth it to do the fender rolling.

I have a feeling that it's rubbing in the bumper tab area.

Get that shaven and relocated before deciding to roll your fenders.

You could throw some colored tape, like green or red, on the fender lip and bumper tab. Where ever the tire hits will make a black mark on the tape and will show you what you need to move.

+1 Good advice. That's exactly what I did too.

Even though you were told the recommended size is ... 205/50/17 ... but you chose to go ahead and pick and choose as you pleased.

Man... That's sad to hear that, but I thought I / someone mentioned you that 225s might rub our cars. Hopefully it won't be a big spending for you to resolve that.

Yeah, it sucks... I am at stock height with no modification.

I went with the tire size closest to the factory diameter. 225/45's were definitely recommended to me. Either way, you win some you lose some...

I will try the masking tape suggestion, but the crazy fender well gap has to go! I am positive I will have to roll the fenders to drop at all.

How in the hell are you rubbing at stock height with 225/45's?? That makes so sense. Check your splash guards and bumper tabs. You should not be rubbing running those tires at stock height. I'm sure it is something simple.

It's good that you went with 225's because 225's look a lot better than 205s etc.
