Cool cool. Already got a good set of jackstands. I didn't even realize there were jacks with such low profiles. Found one on Harbor Freight that I'm gonna just build into my budget for coilovers.

Thanks for all the input.

I have an area in my driveway where it is sunk in about 2 inches or so. I just drive over it and leave the jack point over it :p

I use the Honda jack to lift up the side a little bit then put the big jack up front and lift it up . Don't need no 2x4 or phone books :D

i do for oil changes :hide:

i use my dads old cast iron jack with metal wheels, ****s beast

thats ****ing retarded, it doesn't matter if it was a brand new jack you can't trust the hydraulics to support a car while your under it. use jack stands before your luck runs out son.

Pretty sure most of us jack the car up from the side.... not the front

....nah son. I still jack my up from the front and I'm pretty low. its soooooo much faster. plus I've got a low profile that fits perfectly under the front of the subframe so I don't need to drive up on anything. gotta use some home built ramps to get into my garage though hahah.

I drive up on 2x4's and it gives me just enough room to fit the jack under the front. However, I bought some 2x10's so I can make nice homemade ramps that will get me up a little higher.

You are correct. No one should EVER get underneath a car with only a jack holding it up.

This is the first thing that popped up in my mind when he said that. I have read too many stories lately about people getting crushed by their cars and their trusty jack.
