1. 400-600 lumens is quite a bit of light.
2. There's a reason OEM's chose 4200K-4300K, it physically lights up the road better. Street signs, road markings, etc.
3. The human eye is much less sensitive to the color blue than that of any other primary color. It's more astetically pleasing to our brain, but ultimatly less useful in road illumination.
4. The glare theory is BS, the difference in glare is marginal at best.
1. Yeah 400 lumens is a bit of light, however when you have about 2800 lumens to being with, the extra 400 lumens is noticable, but it's only a 14% increase in light output so compared with the 180% increase you get going from halogen to an 8000K kit it's nearly negligable.
2.Yep, that's the reason car manufactures use 4100k bulbs, but I was just comparing a 6000k kit to an 8000k one.
3.Right, but you have to keep in mind that even 10000k kits still produce white light, it's just that the proportion of purple to white is high, which is why they look more purple than white.
4.As far as glare goes, I'll grant you that it probably isn't a ton worse, but even a little bit can be a hindrance to other drivers.
Either way, I guess that there are pros and cons to getting whatever color kit so it just comes down to a matter of preference.
