Ok well removing 10 year old pin stripes is not the easiest thing I have done...I tried using a blowdrier but it took too long. After chipping my fingernails trying to just scrape it off, I sharpened a plastic spoon and used it to scrape the stripes off. This is much faster and the plastic spoon does not scratch the paint. It took about an hour on each side to get the stripe and glue off.
Here is what it looks like now, but please excuse the steelies-they are temporary.

I will probably drop it soon, just need to do some research on how to go about it. I'm not liking the fact that I can't do that myself...everything else I have done myself.
Thanks for the comments!

Don't say that!!! Yes you CAN. :) There are DIY's you can use, and it's reallly not that hard, man. Especially since you're in FLA, I doubt your car has any rust issues. Should be piece of cake! At the very least, I know there are FLA members around that would be willing to help you and do it with you.

Oh, and looks much better with the pinstripe removed. Nice job. Iffy method, LOL, but nice job. :lawl:

Clean that engine bay back up, and yes, a painted valve cover is completely reasonable in most cases. It's just all the other stuff that kinda bugs ppl out. lol.

Wow looks so much cleaner now!!

As for the suspension - yeah you can do that yourself easily in a few hours, especially since your Floridian chassis has minimal rust!

Alright, thanks for the comments and I'll def. look up a DIY suspension thread...What about alignment and all that? As you can tell, I know next to nothing about suspension other than the parts that make it up.
About the engine stuff-I was a little younger, stupid and careless and thought it looked "cool". I still regret that, but only a few parts are painted...just got to get rid of the blue wire cover stuff!

So, are the blue wire covers also tacky? If I take off the painted parts, I think I am going to take off the wire covers too...but I need to get black ones then because they are covering my amp, fog lights, and green cathode wires that run through my hood.
Thanks for the comments, I am already looking at some suspension stuff. Maybe after I get christmas gifts out of the way, I might actually have some money left over..?
