Tan interior will never look quite right. You're better off removing your entire interior and either replacing, reupholstering, or painting it in a different color. Changing out the inserts will only help the door panel areas, but you'll still be stuck with the disgusting 2-tone dash that will never match anything you to do the rest of the interior. Do it right the first time.

If I could (which i would sometimes in the future when i have a solid benjamin!) I would choose black suede for pillars and headliner

Amen!!

I'm OK with my tan interior but that 2-tone dash is killing me. OP, I think the blue looks good and unique. If you did the pillars and headliner in that blue I think it'd look good. Don't listen to these nay-sayers. Everyone does black or cf. The only problem is, yes, that dash. And the seats. Unless you plan on having them redone or dying them. I'd color the insert portion of the seats. It won't look "OEM" but that's kinda what I like about it.

I like the blue but it would need to be carried over in to the centre of the seats as well to really flow together.

Don’t do black inserts. Everyone I’ve seen who has a tan interior always uses black, and I think the contrast between it and tan is too much personally. I like the blue, though I wonder if it would look better if you had only done the inserts, and not the door arm rests. Not sure.

I actually don’t mind the tan two tone dash, I’d rather it be the lighter/darker tan than all light tan, or all dark tan.

Now, I don’t like how the lower dash panels are dark tan on the LX sedans, but here is an example of how the light/dark tan on the dash can look good with a corresponding leather interior imo.
