Optima Red or Yellow Top?

I have a Kinetik HC1400 Power Cell in trunk on my sub amp an a yellow top under the hood for the car :afro:

I've had no problems from Redtops for the past 9 years with anywhere from 1350wrms to 6800wrms. I also recommend KnightRyder and CHID0's advice of 1/0 gauge to a distro block.

I agree with AFAccord and KnightRyder. I also have a Redtop. I have 2 gauge running to my amps powering a MASSIVE Cerwin Vega powering at 2k watts and peaking at 4k.

ever since i had my audio system i been running 0 guage dual amp kit... i replace 2 battery already in the past.which one should i get ?yellow or red?

Vinh, the yellow top would be the choice for a heavy audio load. The red top is more for cold starts.

As mentioned though, you may want to look in to the Kinetik HC series batteries as well, I've been hearing and reading nothing but good things about them. They are pricier than the Optima's, but apparently worth the cost.

How much did the HC1400 run you, I was thinking of getting a couple myself, and getting rid of the yellow tops I have.

you'd need more than a redtop to run 2000wrms. that's around 200amps of current just for the subwoofer, which would kill the stock alternator pretty quick
