PE carpet...which color matches trunk?

who's ordered carpet for their trunk from parts express?

which is the closest to the stock color: "charcoal" or "medium gray"?

the reviews say "medium gray" is really really light

i'd say get charcoal. if it gets dirty you cant really see it. your going to do the whole trunk?

if i can find some locally...i might just do that. but i have no idea if the installers around here sell carpet to the public...

I get all of my carpet from the shop I used to waork at, it's the regular charcoal stuff. It's usually about $15 a linear yard.

so it is charcoal? ehhh oh well...i thought the charcoal would be too dark.

the PE stuff was $5.25 per yard, 54" wide.

haha, whats really funny is if you open up both your links in your first post, and switch back and fourth between them, you can see its the same exact picture haha. they have either lightened one of the pics, or darkened one of them, hahaha. im gonna go with lightened the charcoal to look "medium gray".

oh well though...i used to have a really light gray box in my old car, and its trunk had fewer light fibers in the carpet.

Medium grey looks right (and sounds right) but hard to tell. Get a fabric sample next time. They should be able to do it for you.

i should have done that matt but i didnt start my project till like saturday and the chicago meet is this saturday.

i got the carpet today...wooooo medium gray it is NOT...if anyone sees this in a future search...get charcoal

going from a black box to a light gray is whatever...i used to have a box almost this light way back. ive had one box in my old car that matched its carpet PERFECTLY like i went to chrysler and bought the material.

i'll cover my stuff for now....its just carpet with adhesive behind it so it's not like i couldn't do it over if i wanted to...
