Well done Ryan. LOL

JPG, ISO100 (smallest file size), with an empty card my camera says I can shoot 2086 photos. Once I get up to that many it still says there's a couple hundred left.

I've filled 2GB and 4GB cards before with no issues. Just once I got over about 7GB / 2,000 images. Happened on 2 different cards.
Well, the offset of photos is probably due to the files being smaller than the camera expects as a "file". They usually use pre-determined values and a picture of black nothing is usually smaller than that preset value.

Aside from the odd memory card inability, did you try updating new firmware?

has anyone ever bought something from Abes of Maine before? thinkin about buying a lens from them and just wanted some feedback
Yea, bought a book from them, typical online store.

One of my friends aspires to become a photographer so I gave her the opportunity to photoshoot my car yesterday. Plus she recently picked up a white IS300 and understands terms like "Aggressive Wheel Stance", "Hella Flush" and "Slammed". I was in awe of her.

Nice shot, other than the fact that it's crooked :D

I have one with a Transcend 8GB card.
Any problems when you have more than 2,000 jpg's on the card?

I don't think I ever had 2,000 pictures on the card at one point...it would suck having to go through it lol.... Going through a tenth of that isn't fun for me as it is...]

Tell you what I'll keep the photos that are on there now and I'll keep shooting and let you know if I run into any issues.

She single? :naughty:

Newest version. I guess I should find someone else with a 400D and 8GB cards....

You could play with my 40D and see if it does the same thing... that would at least let you determine if it's a card or camera issue.
