This crap happen last night on my way home. Got the rear rim and tire as well. but its still holding air. This one is done. Needless to say, I need two new wheels and tires. Anyone have some layin around? I might just get a new set, different ones at that. All depends on what my insurance gives me for the 2 wheels and tires. POTHOLES FKN SUCK!!!!

Holy Sh*t man.. that's nasty, that sucks!

I assume that it's beyond repair... good luck though man! I hope to see you get a new set :) and then I'll see 3 of these in the FS section haha.

I know how you feel man. any how you can still get them fixed the wheel is not done but it won't be cheap to fix. Also your lucky if your insurance is giving you anything I thought this type of thing is not covered unless your in a accident.

i don't know what the rules are like in Florida...

but here in the great white north (lol) when a pothole bends your rim the city will pay for the replacement/repair of the rim

what my buddy did here:

- note which road it was on
- where it happened on the road (try to be specific as you can)
- very good idea to take a picture of the pothole preferably with a datestamp on the picture (my buddy parked and took a pic from it from the sidewalk) and the resulting damage
^ this is incase they fix it and try to screw you out of paying for the rim
- his insurance was not involved at all
- got 3 quotes to repair the rim, and 3 quotes to replace it... forwarded all this info to them
- got it fixed and was reimbursed by the city

again, I don't know what the deal is in florida but thats how he got it taken care of here... hopefully you can do something similar

also, they investigated to make sure that there indeed was a pothole where he said his rim got damaged, this took maybe 1-2 weeks

Dam man that **** sucks, did it mess up anything else or just the rims, its a good thing it only lost presure on one of the rims or then you would have been **** out of luck since you only have one spare with you at a time.
