After researching it quite a bit further, it seems that adding a breather to the line makes a "significant" difference in the effort required. Evidently the fluid/air pressure adds quite a bit of resistance to the mix.

Everyone here claims we are a more classy luxury type car, so why would you want to do something to take away from that? To each's own but I wouldn't do it. I "feel" the road just fine when I drive.

i thought about removing the power steering and the cruise control, my ef has neither and i do just fine in it. I'm definitely taking out the cruise though and i'm still considering the power steering.....

Well.......I took my PS off today, and I have to say that I love it.

Thank you to Badger for the idea.

For me, it's all about keeping my standard features on my car. If i want to sell my car tomorrow, i want to be able to do it. I could care less if it didn't come with it, my 71 jag's rack is leaking so bad that i just gave up, bought a new rack but haven't put it in. I drove that thing for about 3 years with no power steering, that's a 4100lb car. It the same thing with cruise control, i'd rather not have it, better throttle responce (well, usually the case), but it's not worth it.
