LOL :D Yea they are retro. One of the best that I have seen.
Check out http://hidforum.com for other 6th Gen Accord retros.
As soon as I get my other TSX headlight and figure out how the hell I'm going to mount my IS300 fogs I will post some DIY pics.

I would not get a kit go to hidforum.com (university section) and read about the kits. They pretty much bash them and how they blind traffic. If you want to stay with you stock headlight housing go with D2R HID bulbs. For output 4100k are the best because the higher you go in K(kelvin) the less bright your output will be. More K(kelvin) = more gay purple colors. All the HID kits sold on ebay have the D2S bulbs which are made only for projector headlights and 99.999% of the kits are crap quality and illegal. Again your best bet is to go OEM.

As for the ballast's any factory one will work(Infinity, Lexus, Nissan, Hella, etc.) Also make sure that you get a harness with relay's so you do not cause any factory harness fires or melting  LOL. I bought my harness from summit's clearence which for a harness this is a great price and all you need to do is wire in a fuse. (check out the link below for the harness)

Listen, Acrod99..This is not that hard, just dont play around just go with a nice kit right away and dont deal with the hassel. I have a 00 accord coupe with TYC projector headlights, TSX projectors, i used to have 2001 audi a6 projectors in there but they were like a open projector-it not all closed like the TSX-the cutoff was real fuzzy on the a6, just some weak *** projectors. For ballasts just get Phillips LVQ-212'S and some Phillips 85122 D2S Bulbs-and make surte you get a good wiring harness with like 14 gauge wire. you will be happy with this setup for sure. I can email you pics of my setup if you like.

D2S Bulb=Projector head light unit
D2R Bulb=Reflector head light unit

and you want your **** to twinkle like stock hid cars are with projectors....go with 4100k where you would get more output for light...for brightness on a dark road-stock cars(audi, bmw, nissan) arent running high kelvin temp bulbs. dont go with a 6000k kelvin for more purple less out put-looks fake even...
the reason your getting purple and blue in the cut off is just optics, of the light bending off the metal cuttoff plate inside the projector.

jdm gear...those kits are crap on http://www.hidplanet.com/ballasts.html
hmmm....those are the ballasts i got-and there are pretty much bulletproof. One of the best setups there is right there. And you say oem?-these are under "oem" section.

Yes if you don't want to do a retrofit beause it's not cheap Tyc headlights are the the only aftermarket projectors headlights below a retrofit and you can find them for under $150. I my self would wait and get a retrofit but everyone does not want to spend a $hit load of cash on lighting.

Pretty sick looking it would be...

Check This:

Looks like some precise fender / bumper work would need to be done. Pretty insane though. I'm pretty sure these are TSX's / Euro Accord's, not conversions, but you get the picture; just some eyecandy
