I decided that as soon as i get my accord next week i will be doing the big three and installing my amps and subs and speakers right away. I just need some help deciding what guage wire to run. I have the following:

-Hifonics Zeus 6006 2 channel amp. 300x2 watts RMS (for subs)
-Insignia Ns A1000 1000 watt amp that i picked up for speakers
-Pioneer Champion Series 350w RMS 10" subs
-I have the front speakers they are pioneers i forget the specs but theyre pretty entry level, way better than stock but not too expensive.
-Raptor capacitor 1 Farad (I don't think this is enough, it used to still dim on my old car)
-Pioneer DEH-p5000ub head unit.
- I purchased all that is necessary for the big 3 out of a thread i found on here, this includes:

+/- battery terminals (upgraded from parts-express)
In line fuse holder and fuse
5 ft of 0 ga wire
-Ring Terminals for 0ga wire.

I also purchased the wiring harness and dash kit for the car so thats good to go.

My question is should i run 0 ga to the trunk and use a distro block with 4 ga outs for the capacitor and amps, or would i be fine running 4ga to the capacitor and distro block with 8 ga outs, it seems i keep finding distribution blocks that are 4in/8out instead of 0in/4out. I want to go 0 gauge in and 4 gauge out but i dont know if there would be any adverse effects and if the car will have enough room for the 0ga to get through the firewall.

Any input is greatly appreciated, thanks.

ditch the cap

I have been hearing that a lot from my research lately, im thinking of doing just that and then when i need a new battery ill get a bigger one as well as a new alternator. From what i understand that provides much more benefits over the cap, although it definitely did stop my dimming. Thanks for the input.

On another note I am thinking of picking up this wiring kit, i think it fits my need, anyone have any opinions?

You should always size the wire to what power is going through it. Too big and you'll have a large voltage drop between the source and the device, too small and you'll probably heat the wire up too much and burn the insulation.

be like it is
ive had the same 4 gauge wiring kit over 8 years and 2 cars. i started with just a 400rms amp then added a 4ga in -> 8ga out block and a 60rms x 2 amp. been running that setup for close to 2 years now.

just get 4ga...it fits into the car perfectly...and its cheaper than 2ga...
