Hey guys, sad news. I was driving home from work and a guy pulled out in front of me. I sideswiped him going about 50 miles per hour and then veered off and slammed into a telephone pole going about 35. The car is completely lost. I am so depressed :(. Even though it was a 1998 Accord it was mine. There is a very special connection we gearheads have with our cars. They have personalities, and have souls. I expected it to leave me because of old age, not by some idiot in a Pontiac Venture no less. I will not be buying another 6th gen. I may get prelude or an acura. Hopefully the insurance doesn't give me a thousand dollar check. Wish e luck guys. I will miss her very very much.

No sense in posting pics, I might as well be posting some genocide pics. If you want to see her in her pride, visit my profile. You probably wont see me make any more posts on here. Thanks guys for all your help with headlights to door locks. She had so much potential...

That's a brutal accident man. It sounds like you weren't injured in this?

And don't worry too much about losing the car. It probably seems really important right now, but trust me. I'm the same age as you, you'll move on from it.

And I thought I was the only one who was emotionally attached to my cars. :lawl:

Sorry to hear about your accident, but the car did its last great deed for you and protected you from injury. You’re alright, which is most important. Life goes on, and you’ll find another car you’ll like just as much. Maybe more.

If you want to tell us about your car, mileage, condition, etc…maybe we can make a guess as to how much insurance will give you.

Sorry to hear about the accident, but at least you were able to walk away.

There is another car out there for you, so no worries. Be patient, work things out with insurance and go from there.

sorry to hear about your accident, but like everyone is saying your safety is the most important thing. I understand the connection to the car. i have an accord that hasn't been driven in years and i can't let go. it was my 1st car and i have huge plans for it. i know you ll land on your feet and end up with something you really like.

Thanks you guys, I figure there is a silver lining in everything. Ive got about 5k to work with so I think I can manage haha. Id really like to get a tl or maybe a prelude. Insurance will probably end up giving us 3k for it and ill borrow cash from my parents. Salvaging my sound system is the next move though
