How do you remove/change them? Specifically on a 6-disc. I've searched here to no avail. Figured someone might know.

i'd be interested in this too. I feel like i've seen it done a few times, but there wasn't a diy on the radio, just the climate controls.

Have fun, they all have to be soldered.

Aznfunkyflip was doing it for people for a small fee I think.

Sonofa*****.

Seriously? You can't just pull the radio apart and replace a display bulb or something?

Sorry. That's the only reason I have LED everything except the radio haha. I hate the poop green...

I thought you bought that unit from that one guy who said it had blue led's in it already?

Chris, I did. I could take or leave the blue but the display is burned out and it bugs the ever-living-**** out of me. If I'm gonna take it apart to replace the display bulb, I might as well change them all back to white.

Dillingham....I know. I'll probably just wait it out and get a nice dvd unit.

So you only need to replace the bulb illuminating the LCD? Just cut the solder points on the current bulb, and solder in a new one. The only questions are which end is positive/negative, and do you need a resistor.

Hey does anybody knows which bulbs do i need for manual climate control ? and how many ?

Start trying to find some answers on your own, you'll be surprised how much you learn.
