I don't see to many people swapping these out, I remember prop valves sending ~10psi to drums to take up springs. Discs have no return springs, the pads ride on the rotor.

How do the cars handle this way?

I do use ABS, but I try not to (except gravel), so it must be strange when rear comes in early! Though probably fun when you have none!

I've been thinking about this, I know how to make an aftermarket variable prop valve fit, is it worth it. I already think an ABS disable would be fun.

The Accord has rear disc. The Civic's stayed drum for autox (unsprung + 1g crx hf aluminum bolt on 4g EDs :D ).

I never swapped mine out but I was going to try a 40/40 prop valve from the civic si's and integras. Mine was an LX though so no ABS. It would lock the brakes something fierce if you laid into it.

I did drum to disc and left the prop valve alone as I already had ABS, I can lock all four tires and trigger ABS If I want to. I did slotted/drilled in the rear, and Under heavy braking the rear brakes ACTUALLY do something.

I only ever used AutoX so I never went to drilled/slotted rotors. Not enough heat, even from a 3600lb car.

I might have to just try the rear drum valve to see what happens, or see if I can make it adjustable.
