I recently installed a set of lowering springs in my car, and now when I drive in rough areas or bumpy driveways I hear a knocking noise in the rear. I looked around and I could not see any signs of wear on the struts, control arms, etc...
When i hit large bumps that make the car hop, E.G. dips in the road, It does not do it. I do not have an aftermarket sway bar... what could this be??

get coiovers. the nocking is the spring moving up and down.

it happens with lowering springs, sleeves and coilovers that have been adjusted by lowering the spring whether its a set of teins or someone who adjusted a coilover like type 1&2s the WRONG way.

In for some answers too. I also been getting this "Thump" sound from the rear passenger side, its annoying and cant figure it out. I got function and form type 2's.

Could be something as simple as the single bottom lock-ring not being tightened. Or maybe they're blown?

Interesting..I've been hearing the same noise from my FF type 1's and i was thinking of posting here too. But mine are basically brand new. No more than 4k miles on them..I'll try checking those top 2 bolts in the morning.

it definitely isn't because of the lower springs on stock shocks, because i'm still fully stock and i get the same knocking sound in the rear of my car. The initial thought by me and my dad (who sees this kind of thing all day being a parts manager at a honda dealership) was that the shocks were just worn out after the 217k miles that they have, but my i got to ride in a 2004 accord coupe with 98k miles and it had the same knocking.

I had a similar knocking sound from the front suspension. New endlinks and bushings got rid of the sound. Might be worth checking out for the rear.
