Recommendations

Hey, my brakes are squealing so it's time for me to change it up. I'm going to buy Brembo slotted rotors but now I need to pick some pads that meet my driving habits.

I tend to brake hard and don't track or autox my car. So what do you guys recommend for pads? Hawk HPS? Hawk Performance Ceramic pads? Hawk HP Plus Race? Let me know. I need to order asap.

id say youd be fine with hps....if not stock. but why do you brake hard when you dont track or autocross?

haha I figure HPS. Personally, I don't think I brake hard, but passengers have told me that I tend to brake hard. *****es.

Do the HPS give out a lot of noise/brake dust?

ive never used hps, so idk. i do plan on getting them tho later on because i heard that theyre a pretty good pad. i had ebc greens on my 98, they were pretty good with the powerslots. i also bought the ebc greens again to go with the powerslots that i bought for my 99....again, hahaha. but when i 5 lug swap, im thinking of swapping the front pads to hps.

and if youre braking hard in your normal every day driving, brake earlier.....youll use less force, and everything will last longer.

Yeah, I read your review on the EBC and powerslots. I don't know why I didn't just order the Powerslots...they're like 80-100 cheaper then the Brembos. As far as braking goes...I'm working on that haha. It always seems like you got a lot planned for your car..I always read that your gonna do this and gonna do that haha it's all good

haha yeaaa, unfortunately all i have right now are a lot of plans due to consistent lack of funds, haha.

but i think you should be fine with the hps. i think i said something about dust when i had my 98 with the ebc greens on it, im not sure, but i do think i noticed a little more dust than normal.....but it wasnt anything to go crazy over, haha.

do some brembo blanks and some HPS pads. But beware, some of these high performance pads get squeeky when they get hot.
