This is all pointless, a Subaru is a totally different engine design than a honda. The rumble comes from the horizontal boxer 4 and the unequal length headers. 2006 and up all subies come with the H2.5 regardless.
All cars are tuned to their stock exhaust. Why mess with it unless u are turbo or have some major mods in ur engine.
If somehow u increased the velocity of Ur intake charge, then there is a reason to reduce back pressure to the amount of charge you have added to your intake. Don't over do it by going straight pipe on a stock car or lightly modded. Get a muffler with adequate back pressure that adds HP and doesnt sacrafice all ur torque.
Not to mention its not good for ur exhaust valves running straight pipe. At least that's what I heard, I have never experimented with it.
