I think you can do it with minimal headache. I just recently replaced a blown shock on stock springs, which required the use of a spring compressor, then installed lowering springs which I did without the spring compressor. I did the front springs in about 45 mins, and the rears took about an hour since I had to remove the side parts of the back seats for access of the nuts.

If you get your hands on a spring compressor it would be cake. No point in wasting money to have a shop do it for you. If you lived near me I would do it all for ya.

Oy Vey I forget you had to take out the seat, multiple jacks, etc. Yeah I may just pay the shop to do it then sell the stuff to recoup my shop costs. Or try to sell the car with the lowering springs / shocks still installed and sell my stock stuff for cheap. OK, thanks for posting the link to the DIY and your advise.

lol, you dont have to take out the seat. just the sides of the rear seat back, which are a single 10mm bolt at the bottom. and i only used one jack. well, a jackstand, haha, i only did one corner at a time though. but you dont need to do all kinds of crazy stuff, its pretty simple. if you have any friends that have done stuff like this before, see if they can give you a hand.
