All locks are working great expect the rear doors. The look on the rear drivers side works 50% of the time. The rear passenger side isn't working at all. So with a brand new drivers side door lock actuator, is it safe to say the rear door actuators are bad too?

most likely..I had to replace my drivers side one about 2 months ago..it would unlock when it wanted to,and get stuck the other half...after swapping it from an OEM replacement from TAS auto its been fine ever since!
plus they were on sale at the time so i only paid around 45$ish for it.
check them out

a lil off-topic, but all the lock actuators for the EX has a different model number compared to the LX/SE... can anyone confirm if they are the same?

they should be the same..I replaced an LX door with an EX actuator.
the only difference is that EX has the alarm/keyless entry.
*I think thats the only main difference*

(and to be clear my car is an 99 EX..i have used 98 LX doors on..but I replaced the lock actuator with an new EX one)

sounds to me that a LX/SE can take an EX actuator but not the other way round?

I dont think it matters..because the LX still wouldnt have the keyless remote or anything? its not in the actuator..its in the wiring of the door..Because this LX door and wire harness the automatic door lock/unlock wires where just dangling by the plug in the fuse box un-used.
just like the LX door dose not have a plug for my OEM alarm LED on the door panel..lol

Yes the 4 actuators are independent from one another. It does sound like you need to change the bad ones at each door. BTW why don't you try to change the motor inside the actuator. It's like 10 bucks off ebay. I did that with my MDX and it works great! The motor I used is part number:
FC280PC 22125

do a search and check it out. The only thing is you need to transfer the black collar (gear) from the old one to the new one and I had to get a gear puller for that but together it is still less that a new actuator and isn't that much more time.
