That it was removed on purpose for what reason I don't know. I also thought it was on the exhaust side of the motor.

thanks guys im in the process of breaking in the motor at the moment, so far im at 22 miles lol. I know thats a little bit but ill get to 500 eventually.
And removing the balance shaft is meant to free up some rotational weight and up the oil pressure.. i heard removing the balance shaft would make the motor vibrate a little more since the balance shaft is meant to balance/cancel out vibrations but i cant tell a difference in comfortability lol it still feels the same to me

doesnt removing the balance shaft ruin the harmonic balace of the motor and thas why most ppl shy away frm buying aftermarket crank pullys

well i still kept the harmonic balancer, and well honestly im not sure if it would drastically change the engine's lifespan, one of my buddies is a dsm guy and removing the balance shaft is a popular mod in dsms and he pretty much said that with or without it, they both last the same judging from personal experiences, and besides.. the balance shaft spins twice as fast than the crank itself so they both feel like a risk to me haha
