Re: Mexican ricer ? Please help me understand

I recently bought a house. Just give you guys a little background. The house is is an upper middle class gated community. There is a family of renters across the street from me. The father is nice has a nice truck. His son has a 90 Honda Accord with faded paint and brand new 18"+ chrome rims probably out of style more than 5 years ago. He 's got some large fart can muffler going on. Anyway everytime he starts up the car he would rev the crap out of it while the car is cold. When he comes home and pull the car in the drive way he would rev the car another 4-5 times before he shuts off the ignition. I'm not sure what is going on with the car. Is this just habitual behavior or maybe something wrong with the car? At first I was thinking maybe idle control has problem so he is trying to keep the rpm up at times. I don't know what to think. What can you guys tell me about these behaviors. Obviously it is annoying to me because the muffler sounds like crap and if something is wrong with the car he should fix it or get a paint job before investing in fart can and new chrome wheels.

It would just be a guess, but is there any way that you may have just heard it? and ran inside to type this because you can't stand it anymore?

or perhaps you dreamed of it all night long. haha

Hes probably just trying to show off in his own little rice way.

The title "mexican ricer" was in the title of the thread at the time that i posted; i was being sarcastic. I live in NY - i see all kinds of rice, in all different flavors, 24/7.

OP, suggest him to come on this website - guide him. :)

OP, you shouldnt be worried about what hes doing. Instead just ignore it and leave it alone.

Not necessarily, i just felt that a person's nationality has absolutely nothing to do with the modifications done to their car. I think most would agree. There could be an argument about a subcultures and specific styles of modfications, but that wasn't said either.
