Re: SC2JZ300's 2000 Accord...Enjoy. Updated Pg. 3 July 24, 2008

why do you go back to stock then mod again?

i really want to know.....

Well mostly financial problems are the reason on why I had to go back to stock. And having two modded cars was not a good idea. So basically when push came to shove, I sold everything on the Accord to level off the money ordeal. And at the time also I was in a bad accident, and at the time had trouble with the ex fiance.. as some may remember.

Just a day of detailing/preperation for a grand opening/car show of a friends shop which is tomorrow.

A quick shot of the car dirty, and the final picture of the shocker.

And than into the garage for some air drying after a quick rinse... Heres a little shot of the bumper which will be touched up.

About 30 minutes later, car is almost completely dry.
Started touching up on the front bumper took about 20 minutes.
Used Honda touch up paint.

Results.

Then started masking off the front bumper to redo the headlights.(You can obviously see some of the clear coat, I used a type of polish as an indicator to see where work was needed.)

After 1000 grit, 1500 grit, 2000 grit, and finally 2500 grit.
It looks worst than started, but most of the clear coat is gone. Now on to the other side.

i needa do this to my headlights too, shouldn't you just take the headlights out to avoid getting clear on the body of your car?

Yeah you should, but thats what the blue tape is for.

A little polishing material to clear things up.

About 3 layers later I get this. (More layers were applied later.)

That's a lot of freakin' blue tape.

I'd rather just bring some Quik Detail spray and the touch-up paint bottle in case you hit some bugs or pebbles on the way.

True, but I bought a whole role, and it was a day with no work. So figured why not. LOL
