HIR Bulbs FTW!! The low beam version HIR is about the same light output as doing a 9005 conversion.
yes, and dont forget 9005s are rated for 225 hours while HIRs are rated for 800  they may cost about $60 a pair, but buy a set of $15 bulbs 4 times...

I would recommend HID's for the lows and yellow fog lights. That's what I have. I also have 100w yellow high beams.
If money is an issue, you can get a set of sylvanias which I hear are ok, or PIAA superwhite.
Don't worry about seeing the road markings when it's raining. I have 7000K HID's and I have that problem.
The road reflectors, I can see fine, but the actual markings (white & yellow lines) I can't see in the rain

I half agree with BN. Slyvanias are a good alternative to HIDs and they are affordable. But I totally disagree with HID fogs. IMO its better to buy Lexus yellow capsules and place them in the OEM fogs.

sylvania, i think, is brighter than PIAA but doesn't last as long compare to the PIAA i had before. mine lasted over a year but then a car accident which broke the PIAA ruined it. grr. but i guess it depends on luck for sylvania/PIAA.

I was misunderstood.

What I meant was to get a set of HID's in the headlights and a pair of non HID yellow fogs

save your money for hid or the d2r rebased hid
just get some cool blue from walmart
i wasted enough $$$$ on piaa and silverstar bulbs, piaa are atleast $60+ and the silverstar are $20 each. this include low beam and fog. wasted atleast $260 on bulbs. :furious:

My silver stars have lasted like 2 years now. I swear i got some sort of freak set. And people say they are dimmer because they are tinted who haven't had them. I can say for a fact they are brighter. I bought them for my talon which has very poor factory lightening and it made a noticeable difference. Not a perceived difference like people love to tell me. A difference as in i could see better. In my accord, the difference is pretty negliable since the stock lights are pretty decent for halogen.
