I got a big problem, i got my door handles shaved, and after 3 months the system is not popping all the doors. Now im not a mechanic but I know its probably the solenoids. The question is how do i open my door from the inside, its locked. Can I take off the door panels ? Im not even near my car its in Alabama im in Dallas, but im gonna be back in town in a week. The worst part is the shop that did the work on my car Lee's Custom, is from HELL! They messed up so much equipment (emergency release cable, relay) and on purpose. Plus the guy takes my car smokes crack in it, gets pulled over, and theres bullets in my car. When my dad goes to pick it up, the cars at the impound! The front end even got scratched up. Damn reputable shop and the owner is a crack head!! I dont know what to do.

This is hard to diagnose without knowing exactly how it's hooked up?

Is there is a main line coming off the battery then splitting through a distribution block to each solenoid?

Is it ghetto rigged and tapped into your fuse panel?

My best guess would be the in-line fuses on the primary wires which the solenoids SHOULD have, or some sort of fuseable link on the main line coming off the battery. Although it CAN happen I highly doubt the solenoids are fried unless they are cheapies. Second guess would be the relays for the solenoids, which I'm hoping your setup has relays since the primary wires to the solenoids are hot 24/7. Third guess would be the module for the kit, may have just quit functioning all together.

In the end you honestly need to have it re-wired. Either figure out which kit you have and get the installation instructions from that company and wire it yourself or take it to a professional audio installation place and have them do it.

Ouch, good luck getting it all taken care of. I just got my shaved doors & kit, still have to wire up the emergency switch...hopefully I won't run into this kind of bad luck.

That sucks man, im so glad i got rid of my shaved doors last week.
what kit are you running? my guess would be Autoloc.
-how did you end up keeping your locking system with shaved doors? i had to ditch mine cuz it would lock and would never unlock..

but anyways, if you cant get in, gonna have to crawl through your trunk to get inside.
if it dosnt unlock from the inside then your going to have to rip off your panels ,that is VERY hard to do when the door is shut.damage will occur..i had to do it once when i was doing my install.

then you will have to reach inside the door and pull the rods yourself until it unlocks. and can open...

once opend invest in emergency cable or a kit call SPAL. i NEVER had any problems with them for 2+years.

hope that kinda helps..really sorry to hear about suck a bad shop..

and also like shavedaccord said check the inline fuses,
Find the 'brain' of the system and if i remember correctly there are 2 25amp mayb 35amp inline fuses. double check those to see if its blown.

the brain is simple 3 wire hook up.
ignition,
ground
and constant 12v source..

might want to get a meter and check the voltage.touch a power wire to the actuator wire and it should pop.

Dumb question... it just dawned on me, I always liked the way the shaved doors look, but what do you grab onto to open the door? Does it pop open enough to get a hold on the window frame?

Yes it pops open about 4 inches on mine...just need to grab the door or window frame & pull it open the rest of the way.

You must have spring loaded poppers then. I have the top of the line AutoLoc kit with 35lb-pull solenoids and it don't pop open no 4 inches lol
