So I got a black 99 EX coupe and I'm considering getting TYC projectors along with either 6000k or 8000k HIDs. I'm wondering what you guys would think would look nicer on it, clear housing or black housing TYC projectors. I've seen a few pics of black housing on a black sedan so I got an idea of how that might look on a coupe, but I've yet to see clear housing on a black sedan/coupe so I got no clue as to how that would look. Any ideas/opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

clear housing? :eh:

if you're gonn throw in hid, id say do retro fit........and please stay with 6000k

if you like tyc, go ahead and get it......cut off is not gonn be all that great, but tyc is what so called 'best' aftermarket projector headlight out there......

Yea, Id say go retro too..That's my plan at least. Got an extra pair of oem headlights sitting in my closet..just too scared to try it.

But yea TYC is pretty good.

retro ftw! i'm still waiting till i have the time and money for it but i think they come out the best since you can do what you want with them and you have higher quality projectors to use. just my 2 cents though.

I didn't know the TYC projectors came in clear housings. If you like it then go for it.

Black will blend and look the best on dark cars. Clear housings would be for cars that are light colors especially white. But wow, TYC with HID is a whopping $549!! Ouch!!!

dont think too hard buddy....

black housing will look good on n e colored car....
on the other hand, body color matched housing would be kinda....:ugh:
its going to be like....either you hate it, or like it a bit.....

if you're gonn do something, do it right the first time, or dont do it at all....

to me, if you're going to get hid, go retro with oem ballasts, wiring harness/good bulbs or dont do it at all.....will save you money in the long run

I would say black housings. I have a dark green car and like the way mine looks with the black projectors and HIDs
