You have nothing to worry about.

Though I would be impressed if you somehow managed to suck in snow through a filter. Slush too.

You should be fine in the snow.
But what about whe nthe snow melts are you drive through puddles of water/slush/ice

Personally, I don't se a purpose of having a CAI in cold weather

i think i'll be fine driving through puddles...it rained pretty hard during summer and i had to go through about half of foot of water and i seriously though that was going to be it for my accord....however, i have one of those air bypass valves...and i think it saved my accord...so i should be fine with puddles....and having a CAI in cold weather is pretty pointless...it is just i am kinda lazy to switch over to short ram right now because of the weather....freaken cold...freaken snow

as long as you drive with common sense you'll never have to worry about hydro-lock. when I lived in Mass and had to deal with lots of snow and rain I never hydro-locked. just don't drive into any lake sized puddles and you'll be fine.
