You are in for a daunting task my friend. Just keep in mind even though the frame and subframe may look straight, its most likely tweaked. Not noticeable to the naked eye but its probably not square any more. If you can at least get it derivable I would just do the minimum until you can afford another car.

Here is a pic album of my truck that I fixed back when I was rear ended into another car. All junk yard parts and no garage knocked it out in 3 days (I worked at a body shop doing collision repair for a about 3 years when I was younger so that helped) in the street with an extension chord from my apartment to my welder, haha.

The album has some random pics of when I first got it and did some work to it but the crash fix is in there

Yea, i know what you mean. The thing is, i gotta work with what i got. Its my only car for work. Of course, im gon get a professionals opinion also, since theyre trained to see what i cant.

yea, mine was in the same boat when i bought it last october of 2014. the old owner said a truck backed into it. only the right side of the radiator support was bent, so i just pulled it back out. it had a lil gap here and there but i didnt mind. just looked that up, sounds scary. question is, is our subframe bolted on or welded? i read somewhere on the forum that our cars are unibody, does that mean, everything on it is welded? or am i wrong?

yea, i definitely needa get under my car for a full inspection. sounds really scary from what you guys are telling me. makes me not even wanna add ac back on haha. but thanks, i will. im hoping theres no other damage, i cant afford to buy another car and i had big dreams for this one. but if i had to, ill be in search of another 5 speed CG of course. Im thinkin v6 sedan, but i dont want to have to deal with the transmission issues. Working part time at minimum wage will put me in debt if i have to go thru all that.

You may want to take it to a professional to really be sure. I'm sure the cost would be reasonable. Are there v6 sedan manuals? If not, you may need a swap, I believe RedRyder did that!
I understand that man, it will work out with research planning and a little luck!

OK I'll ask the hard questions here-- why were you obviously driving way too fast for conditions? (Only way that kind of damage happens.) Why don't you have insurance? How did you even get the car registered/ tagged without it?? What makes you think you're going to be able to get insurance now, after telling any company you call what just happened? What in the WORLD makes you think you can fix that adequately??
And finally, why is everyone here concerned for your well being and saying good luck with court when you honestly DESERVE what you're about to get?? What about the other driver, who hopefully had uninsured/underinsured motorist protection? What about well wishes for HER, who was minding her own business when you plowed into her at a high rate of speed?
You deserve what you got man.

those questions you asked some of them are non of your business and you dont come at another person like that..
1) you do know that he could have been going 20-25 and that damage can happen. you will be surprised how much damage you can do at low speed.
2) you can get insurance and then cancel it or not pay it. car will be tagged but not legally.
3) it just looks like the radiator support and fenders got ruined. easy fix if you know what you are doing.
4)he said he would pay for it for her damages.
5)again with the high rate of speed, goto #1. accidents happen man. his wheels locked up. even the smallest puddle of water can cause it. dont attack the man no one is perfect.

So you're going to defend someone who a) tried to get away with intentionally breaking the law by refusing to purchase insurance on the car he's driving and b) could have injured someone else (and maybe did) the WAY he drove it??
Sometimes you get what you deserve. WAAYY too fast for wet conditions is the ONLY WAY that kind of damage happens, and you know it pal.
Sorry but you don't get sympathy from me for being an idiot.

once again what he does is non of your concern and you think high speed is the only way to damage a car like that? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2LlLDHUpoFY have a look 20mph. ill leave it at that.

It becomes EVERYONE'S concern, including the lady he hit, when he decided to drive dangerously and put others in harm's way. Do you really not get that??

Let me put it this way-- I am a BETTER owner of a 6th generation accord than either one of you, because I choose not to do stupid stuff or defend those who do.

Why bother? If he doesn't have insurance he needs to start walking to work.
