it took us like 1000000 times to get it right if you did the swap where was your vtec and redline set at i wanna know

To get what right, and my vtec is set to where it makes power ;] pretty close to stock anyway.

Stock, VTEC is usually engaged around 2300 for a smooth torque curve. I wouldn't spin the F23 past the stock 6700, because you're not making any more power at that point, especially on a stock bottom end.

so making the obd1 conversion is not worth it? i did it and had to take it off until i got a custom adapter plate made to make my i.a.c.v into a 2 wire because its a 3 wire at the moment. when it was plugged it sounded and reved like a beast.

I think it's completely worth it if you have or plan on having serious mods. With FI, it is a must. For N/A, mods such as a cam and headwork would be almost pointless without the tuning ability OBD1 provides.
