Re: Some of my small projects....works in progress

Glad to see you doing this. I ended up purchasing a modified OEM grill like this and it's well worth it. Perfect fitment ftw.

Hell yes, the type-r is so flimsy

what are the other projects?

Not sure yet, I do have something pretty interesting in the pipe line though.
I should post my valve cover project(s) here too......:hide:

hows the project coming along?
any updates?

I used a semi-flexible plastic putty to fill it in, I ran out now i have to find out where i got it. It's been sitting in my parts closet for years now....

I'll be looking around for more soon so updates shortly. The last part i need to finish is the center piece where the emblem bulge was.

nice.
me too

That came out really really good. What products did you use?

^If your going to do body work to the bumpers (if you can afford it) it might not be a bad idea to go with some quality products.

Like, lord fusor (adhesives) if needed or a flexible body filler- couldn't recommend any, but I've heard it's better for the long haul.

Thanks for the info, i'll start looking into some better products.

Nice work with the grill.

I wish the sedan had the removable grill option like the 98-00 Coupes.

We get left out of everything.........

*sidenote*, Johnson, you ARE getting a Coupe hood, right?

Nice. I want to cut the stock grill out of my bumper and make a grill shell but I can't afford to get my bumper professionally repainted and don't trust DIY, even color matched paint because of urathane. Love all the attention to detail in your mods.

Pick up a spare bumper and try the DIY on that, see how it works out for you

see if you can find a filter to fit inside the headlight? K&N makes like 3,000 different ones...

hmm, let me see if i understand this correctly.. you took the high beam out of the right headlight to let more air in, so that cooler air can reach your sri?
