someone used a picture of my car on ebay for an example picture

I was just searching tail lights on ebay. I found a picture on my car from the rear when I first smoked my tail lights. I would have never though anyone would have used it. Unless it is someone on the site that got the picture and is selling something on there.

Why is that so hard to believe? They do it all the time. E-mail the seller and tell him to take it down if you want to.

There really isn't anything you can do. Ebay has no policy on this interms of protecting you (they don't allow it but won't do anything about it). The only time they get involved supposadly is when they misrepresent a product. BUT, i've even told eBay that the picture of my car was non representive of the product (it was posted as the wrong model year) and they still wouldn't do anything. You can't really do anything. Even if you water mark the pic, they will put one right over yours lol, no matter how visable the old one is.

that's why i post pics online and take them down a few weeks later
do what others have done.
if they are linking the picture...change the name of the picture...upload a new pic to the originating link to something gay like a penor...problem solved.

Unfortunately, most caught on to this and use there own hosting.

Does it matter? I wouldn't mind someone on Ebay spreading pictures of my car.
