Whenever ECU senses a fault (perhaps you jossled a wire loose), it will turn on the SRS light, disabling the system. There is 0 danger, unless you get into a major head on, the bags won't deploy.
Should be able to reseat any wires you moved and disconnect the battery for at least 30 minutes, this gives time for the capacitors to discharge. The light should go off after this unless you have bare wires under your carpet
