hey,

i am running 215/45/17 with tsx rims in the front, and in the back i am running 225/45/17, and am wondering if it is a safe thing to do ?

From the driving perspective handling seems to have improved, and the car feels more stable while turning. But i am not sure on how do go about when the time comes for tire rotation and other stuff.

any tire experts care to chime in or offer any advice ?

thanks

to answer your question I don't think it's unsafe, as long as you have the same sizes on each axles you should be fine, obviously your screwed when it come to rotation, you basically can't do it

why do u even put different size of tires for tsx rims?? tsx rims have same widht for the fronts and rears right???

lol well one of my tires had a knot in it after i hit a pothole, so i looked on ebay and found some 225/45/17 tires with really good thread for like crazy cheap price, so i jumped on it.:)

Once again, other than looks, I don't see a purpose of a staggerd set up on a FWD car.
I doubt if you'll notice a improvement with a one size difference
And normally, on a staggered set up the rear tires and wheels are wider than the fronts
