Sticky Center Console Solution?

I don't spill drinks on anything. I don't eat or drink in the car. The center console I mean the dash under the radio. The top of the cupholder lid is sticky too, the cupholder itself is fine. My current solution for the cupholder lid is to wrap it with the fake carbon fiber stickers.

i just bought my accord and the same under radio console is sticky. it's almost like there is a rubber substance sprayed or coated on the plastic from the factory as my mustang cobra window switch panels are the same way. i did what the other member said.
sand the panel down clean then spray and viola!

It is my personal belief, that the active ingredient in the "stickiness" of the cup holder is in fact.........Redbull. I came to this conclusion when I was on my way home from NY yesterday, and I was enjoying an ice cold Redbull. The Redbull was in my cup holder and I realized that even minimal pressure applied to the brake would cause the Redbull can to tip, thus small amounts of Redbull would make their way from the can, and into the depths of the cup securing device.

When I went out to my car this morning, which I might add was baking in the hot morning sun, said Redbull can was indeed stuck to the cupholder, requiring a moderate amount of force to break it free. When the can did break free, I observed a yellow "glue" like substance in the bottom of the cup holder.

So in conclusion.........

Redbull + Heat = Glue like substance
