stock stereo

When I insert a CD into my 1999 Honda accord oem stereo ,I get a cd P-EO message and then the CD ejects. Does anyone know what is causing this and how I can fix it?

sorry I dont believe that many of us even still have our stock headunits

peo means broken headunit i think
if u are lookin for a stock headunit i have 1...6cd changer n whatnot..code included

Mine does the same thing.

The little laser in the player doesn't work anymore.

How much for you 6CD???

Mine did this before I upgraded. You can take it out, pull it apart, clean the laser with some rubbing alcohol. Should get you a couple more months of use out of the unit, then you'll have to do it again. When I searched it seemed to be a very common problem with hondas.
