sa'll good bro. just dont believe everything you read on v6p, i'm putting together the motor myself, and a LOT of the information on there is wrong. everything makes sense online, but when you actually have the parts in front of you, its completely different.

aka 05 RL pistons = not forged. i asked the question on there, and never received a concrete answer so i bit the bullet, dropped $500 on RL pistons / rings... and the pistons sure look cast to me. however, if they are forged, it is one helluva ugly forge process honda / acura uses... im still going to run them because they bump compression. a lot of people are paying money to have their motors built, but they dont know wtf they are actually getting. just be careful, dont believe everything you read.

Yeah true. I was going to start really soon because I wanted to do a 3.5 swap with a custom mount M90 supercharger setup like pauls but I'm going to wait and research more

Yeah chang I've seen a little bit of your pictures on your build over at v6p.net. I go over there a lot to search for performance info and to PM members especially Paul.

Don't feel like starting new thread, hopefully i can get a quick answer.

How much (if any) psi can a stock F23 hold up? :skurred:

It depends on the size of the turbo but generally speaking 8-10 safely with arp head studs and a good tune with the right injectors. Use the search feature there is a lot of info about turbocharging the f23 on this forum.

This thread makes me facepalm. Seriously dude? You want to swap from a v6 to an h22? You need to go for a ride in a 6 speed swap my friend. I don't care if someone here disagrees with me but I've been in 4 different h22 swaps (turbo built, n/a built, mostly stock, and n/a built/tuned) and I'm pretty confident in my v6 6 speed being faster. I've even had 1 of them straight up tell me that... so.... yeah. And as for turbo vs supercharger... theres A LOT that goes into putting either onto your car. It's not like you just decide to go out one day and slap one on. If you're serious about either one start looking on v6p since theres many more F/I threads on there and read everything you can.

Read, read, and read some more... then once you think you've really read all you can... start asking people about it.

Remember a 6 speed swap, turbo, supercharger, and engine (j32) swap are all very very costly investments. You're not talking about a few hundred bucks. You're talking 2-5k depending on the route you choose.

facepalm? why? because the dude is new to all this? maybe he isn't that forum savvy? As much as i agree on having several similar threads, there is no reason to discourage a bewbie. We have all been there. I have been there. No shame in questioning others who may have more knowledge.
Everything else that has been said in this thread i agree with. OP try using the search feature since J and trans swaps have been discussed here over and over again. Look for MikeyMike's thread and MoneyPit to get yourself started. SC VS Turbo, guys gave you your input about that already.
Happy searching
