Yeah, I figured there would be some jokes about the "Longest Build Ever"....:lawl:.

It won't be completely done this year, I think I will hold off on the lip kit and wheels for now, and maybe save that for a bit of a refresh for next season.

Definitely looking forward to it being done, of course. Already have the shop lined up that will do the work. Price was exactly what I anticipated, however, there is a fair amount of prep work before it gets to the shop.

Still have to figure out how I am going to get the engine/tranny to the shop in the first place!

I spent a total of 3.5 years to my current set up.
....gathering the top end parts on classfied ads was 1.5 years, yeah...that long.

Did Top end swap one year. Then the next year doing the entire drivetrain swap. Didn't want to, but..had to. The tranny was going out faster than expected.
....had the car 9 years, plan to have it another 9.

Michael, I am right on schedule then, based on those time frames!

I wanted to be done much sooner, but life happens and that was the bigger priority.

I still say forget the brakes and whatever else and just focus on finishing your motor/trans swap. You're redoing a lot on your car which is awesome, but breaking it up into more manageable chunks will result in more things actually getting done I think. Otherwise I think the car will go nowhere, and you'l likely get lost in ordering parts, saving the money for those parts, researching everything, etc etc. That all takes a lot of time, I know. I think trying to execute all your plans at once is just too much. I say this all out of love. ;)

Focus on getting the car running so you can come to IA in July. :D

CB, I hear you, but for used parts, I have to jump on the deals I come across when they come up.

The package deal Dre was offering on the RL calipers/350Z rotors was something I didn't want to miss out on. Not to mention with the swap and engine upgrades, I am going to need an upgraded brake setup anyway.

The other suspension stuff is definately not a high priority right now, as much as I would have loved to get those UR parts. I am keeping an eye on those, but in the meantime, the focus is on getting the rest of the parts I need for the engine.

As for IA, we'll see, the baby is due about 2 weeks after, so not 100% sure that I will be able to make it.

^Joker.

So, in discussions I have been having with Jovani, it seems that some type of custom Throttle Body Spacer will be needed to make the Q45 throttle body be able to connect with the TL Intake Manifold.

The problem is, the IM outlet is about 70mm and the TB is 90.

I'm thinking it may be a matter of overlapping and welding together the pieces of tubing, and the fabricating the mounting flanges to fit the respective ends.

No sure who is familiar with welding, maybe nsjames could chime in and share some thoughts, or anyone with welding experience.
