Sorry to bring this post back from the dead, but I thought it would be better than creating a new one. So here is the UPDATE, I finally got the car into the shop last nite (I owe one of my Uncles BIG TIME) and of course the car is running fine no problems what so ever
. So I'm talking to my other uncle about what the problem could be while we are sitting there waiting for the car to do something besides idleing correctly. The first thing he tells me is he is 90% certain I don't have bent valves
. Now for the logical part which obviously I don't have any logic, bent valves are mechanical so I would have a rough idle, backfires, and missing when the car is cold or hot. DOH!!!! I'm stupid. So once I get the battery all charged up, should be ready when I get off of work I will be
around the streets of canton. I guess I will be relentlessly beating on my car to get it to act up because if my 2nd theory is correct then my IACV is on the fritz. The only way I can get it to act up is for the car to be freakin insanely hot. At the garage I tried everything to get it to act up and there is only so much you can do with no load on the engine. Today should be an interesting day, I removed my intake from the TB so my exhaust is going to be loud as hell
but its the only quick way to test if the fast thermo valve has miss aligned itself. So the next question is what do I do with all this money I have saved??? The ITB's on ebay look nice but the auction ends too soon or which Mugen wheels should I buy M7's or the nice MF8's that are on HT. Maybe I'm counting my chickens before they have hatched though. So much to do in such a short amount of time.
