A video of the sort of snow we've been dealing with - not all of Ontario gets the same accumulation or snowfall - proximity to the lakes changes everything:
Sure - wide tires are fine if the roads are hard-packed or moderately low snow. I've been a believer in Nokian Hakkapeliitta for years - the Nords know snow! But you haven't *really* enjoyed a fine snowy day until you've plowed through snow that comes up over the hood. We get a day like that, on the right backroads, only a couple of times per year. On those days, everybody else stays home and drinks hot chocolate. My brother and I go out to practice our skills on empty roads with no tire tracks!
