Hello, this is the 2nd time I have removed 8 of these pesky rotor screws and I used a method today that I have seen others do it but I couldn't believe how easy it really was. No drilling, no cursing, just 2 tools needed:
I don't even know what you call that thing on the left but that is a Eastwing sledge on the right, I think you can use a smaller hammer of course as well as maybe a strong philips screwdriver but hey use the right tools man!
Here are what the screws looked like before I got to them. Nice and frozen:
You basically hit it at an angle to create little dimples and try to manually force the screw to turn counterclockwise:
Almost there:
OUTTAY:
I'm about to do my brakes/rotors later in the week and was like hey let me get those screws off today first b/c the last time I did them on my accord, they were a beach and took me a while. I did try the drilling today and that helped but took a little bit longer and I even used my makita impact driver with a impact P3 bit but I hate to say it but I cannot get my electric impact to work. Sucks but this manual method took me like a few minutes per pair.
