The 6x100mm is important and it can be tricky to find the hole in the balancer shaft. I'm still not convinced it exists, the last F23 tbelt job I did I kept spinning the balance shaft feeling for the hole and just found a place on the shaft that prevented it from turning, it didn't necessarily go into a hole.Step 7 says to clean the balancer belt pulleysThe 6x100mm is important and it can be tricky to find the hole in the balancer shaft. The special tool is very handy! If you have a decent impact, that's about the only way to torque the bolt down tight enough.
