i know a bunch of people that would go w/ number 2 and it works every time. im not saying that i support the method, i just have yet to see it not work.
It only costs 20 bucks to mount and balance a tire. If you don't have cash, charge it!

If you don't have $20 (or $12) to pay to mount a tire, there's something wrong.
i keep in touch with my high skool shop teacher and do it there on his machines LOL free mount and balancing FTW!!!!
Well at any Chain Tire shop like firestone or somewhere its like 20-25.
I have the hook up for $40 for all 4 rims mounted and balanced. :leeann:
I don't understand how you guys are even getting to the bead seating step... how do you mount low pro tires without a machine? Seating beads on non-stretched tires is easy, it's mounting low pros that's difficult (because of the stiffer sidewalls). If these are you methods of seatings beads, I don't want to know how you got the tires over the rim.
This = correct way, who cares if you have to pay, it's cheap.
